Instagram allows you to “like” images with a quick double tap of your phone screen. Pinterest allows you to collect images on a personal “board” for safe keeping. Combine these two simple actions and apply them to the world’s largest database of inspiring architectural images, and what do you get?

Architizer is loved by millions for its treasure trove of stunning project photographs and drawings, providing daily inspiration and powerful precedents for architects undertaking design research. While the platform’s image database is unparalleled in terms of size and quality, we realized that this doesn’t count for much unless you have the ability to save images that are important to you, so you can return to them later.

Now, with a single click of the “heart” icon on any project image, you can do just that. “Liked” images go into your personal account, forming a permanent feed of design inspiration curated by you. You can use this tool in any way you choose: Save every textured brick detail you come across, all the photos of buildings by Olson Kundig Architects, or each and every church renovation project that you can find.

Whenever you return to Architizer, you can quickly access your liked images by logging in and clicking on the heart icon in the top right corner of the screen, next to the “upload project” button and your name. Here, you can click on any image to instantly recall which project it came from, as well as seeing a range of similar images below.
